Daniel + Courtney: Rehearsal Dinner

Rehearsal Dinners. One of the most enjoyable events you will attend during the time leading up to a (your) wedding! At least I think so. Everyone is dressed up, the venue is beautiful if not the same location as your nuptials, the mother-of-the-groom has worked so hard to make it an event to remember, friends and family have traveled distances to be together, AND the bride and groom can't harness their excitement for the day following. I really just love being at rehearsal dinners! Can you tell?

I'm so thankful for the video footage and few photos I have from my own rehearsal dinner (almost six years ago!!) but would love to have had more taken. We were at a different venue than for our wedding day, I scored a beautiful custom dress through work trade with a well-known Nashville designer (before her fan list grew to what it is today), it was a perfectly intimate setting for our closest friends and family, my mother-in-law did make it an event to remember...just so much fun. So much. Anyway, enough about me....

I've had the pleasure of being asked by brides, family and friends to be a part of their events before and I'd love to keep that going. It is especially nice when I am able to be a part of one of my own lovely couple's rehearsals. I am able to meet the bridal party, family members and coordinators before the often time-crunched wedding day. People know who to look for and feel more comfortable having me around. Not to mention I get to learn even more about my sweet couples through conversations and toasts from the dinner! A photographer and client knowing each other better is NEVER a bad thing. All that to say, rehearsal dinners are awesome! Remember to take time to enjoy them.

To Daniel and Courtney!!

P.S. You might recognize a few faces in these photos. Courtney's sweet sister and brother-in-law had me join them on their wedding day a few years back. Love seeing keeping in touch with this family!
