Personal: The Tree

So, it's our first Colorado Christmas! December at least. We will be spending Christmas Day (in the airport) and the days surrounding with our families back down south. But, you can't go through the weeks leading up to the big day without a tree in the apartment! 

And I'd like to think that it was a pretty economical decision. You see, in Colorado you can help thin the undergrowth in the forest (which also helps keep forest fires away) in December. In return you get a $10 Christmas tree picked exactly to your liking! And if you're lucky like we* were you get to walk through some snow in the process. Completing the perfect Christmas experience. We even met Smokey the Bear! It was perfect!

*This is my new gal pal/co-worker at The Perfect Petal and her beau. I'm sure they're gonna love seeing themselves on the internet. Also, yes, my husband has a mustache. Apparently he and his co-workers raised money for Men's Health through the Movember Foundation last month. Glad it was for a good cause at least. ha! 

We found it! The perfectly skinny, almost nothing tree. :-)
